We are performing the installation on a local host environment based on the provided documentation. All required setup steps from our side have been completed successfully. However, we are encountering a lost connection issue specifically within certain models related to the Discuss module.

Have you experienced this issue before, or is there any recommended action to resolve it?

"Local Hosting" is not a question. A question is a substantial phrase that ends with "?"

We get close to 1,000 posts a month and not everyone will open a post to find out what your question is.

I have edited your post to make the title a question.

In the future, please consider (1) using a Question that makes it clear what you ask without requiring people to open your post and (2) adding Tags. This will often increase the chances people will respond and also make everything clearer for others who may come along later searching for the same thing.

Failing that, you can paste your future posts into an AI Chatbot and ask it to "please generate a question of no more than 16 words that summarizes what I am asking" and use that as your question.

Hi,

Experiencing "lost connection" issues within specific Discuss module models in a local Odoo installation often points to resource constraints. Insufficient memory or CPU overload can cause connection drops, so monitor your server's RAM and CPU usage. Also, check your PostgreSQL configuration for database connection limits and increase them if necessary. While less likely on localhost, network issues like firewall interference or incorrect hostname/IP configuration should be ruled out.

Odoo configuration factors include long polling issues and the number of worker processes; ensure the longpolling_port is correctly set and increase worker processes based on your server's resources. Database problems like corruption or slow queries could also be the cause, so run a database integrity check and analyze query logs. Finally, consider potential conflicts with custom modules by disabling them one by one. To diagnose, check Odoo logs, monitor server resources, test with a clean database, update Odoo, and simplify the configuration.

Please take a look at the following.

Thanks for your support and we assume that the issue might be related to the firewall. However, we would like to confirm that the firewall is configured correctly, and PostgreSQL is also properly installed.

Additionally, we would like to provide further information related to the documentation:
Port 80 successfully redirects to port 8069, but when we attempt to connect through port 8072, it does not redirect as expected — which appears to be the cause of the issue.
